MARTINO PEZZOLLA completed his studies under the guidance of Maestro Francesco Mastro al. Paisiello of Tarano, Italy. He participated in many masterclasses such as, amongst others, the masterclass held by Maestro E. Tarr, the great scholar and researcher of ancient music, at the School of Music in Lausanne, Switzerland and Maurice André at the Paris National Conservatory of Music. In 1987, he obtained the Diploma of High Specialization in Brass Technique at the Music School of Fiesole in Florence. He has performed with many orchestras from all over the world, including with the Washington Symphony Orchestra. He has received many awards, for example for the principal trumpet at the RAI Orchestra of Turin, for the second trumpet at the Orchestra of the „Carlo Felice” Lyric Theatre of Genoa and many others. In the 1981-1991 period, he was the principal trumpet in the Symphony Orchestra of the Province of Lecce. He has collaborated as an orchestral manager with the Director of the Liturgical Office of the Vicariate of Roma and Master Director of the Pontifical Lateran Music Chapel.

Along with his concert activity, from 1988 to 2001 he worked as a professor and Chair of Trumpet and Trombone at the Institute of Music G. Paisiello of Tarano, and from 2001 to 2017 as a teacher of the Chair of Trumpet at the Conservatory of Music U. Giordano of Foggia. Since 2015 he has been a permanent member of the International Commission „ENKOR Competition” in London. Maestro Martino Pezzolla is currently a trumpet professor at the Conservatory of State Music, Institute of High Culture N. Piccinni of Bari, southern Italy.
