Galileodolce Masterclass with Tamir Akta in Bielsko-Biała

On January 8-9, 2019, Tamir Akta was a guest at the State Music Schools Complex in Bielsko-Biała, Poland. He was invited
by the headmaster to conduct a masterclass for trumpet students and to give a recital.

On the first day there were group exercises during which the young musicians improved their technical skills of playing the instrument, and individual classes in which our Master worked with each student. He shared his remarks and insights as well as giving valuable advice regarding playing the pieces presented to him. On this day, participants of the masterclass also had the opportunity to test many models of Galileodolce trumpets.

In the evening, Tamir was asked to give a short lecture and conduct a rehersal of the Youth Brass Band of the Municipal Cultural Center
in Czechowice-Dziedzice run by Mr. Tomasz Janusz.

On Wednesday, the next part of the masterclasses followed and at 18.00 a recital began. Tamir presented romantic and modern music, including Théo Charlier, Almicare Ponchielli or Jerôme Naulais. After a great performance, many people queued up for autographs
and for commemorative photos.

At this point, we would like to thank Mrs. Barbara Cybulska-Konsek – Director of the State Music School Complex in Bielsko-Biała –
for the invitation and the delightful hosting of our artist at the school, Mr. Tomasz Janusz – the trumpet teacher – for the organization
of the masterclasses and the entire visit, Mrs. Magdalena Kupczak for accompanying the recital, all students of the trumpet class for their work, commitment and amazing atmosphere, and the wonderful recital audience. Some of the listeners travelled a long way from other cities to participate in this beautiful event.

Thank you very much and see you soon.
